During the first year, young doctors will study in detail the normal anatomy and function of the organ of vision, and classical and modern methods of diagnosis. They deepen their knowledge of diseases of the eye movement system, oculoplasty, and diseases of the lacrimal system.
During the following years, residents fully master the theoretical side of all eye diseases. They are actively involved in the process of examining patients, and directly participate in the implementation of various diagnostic and treatment methods. They independently (only under the supervision of a doctor) receive and examine patients. Under the supervision of a curator, they analyze the information received, make a diagnosis and, with the help of a doctor, prescribe treatment. They acquire practical skills in producing medical documentation. They attend surgical operations and perform stages of laser surgery and intraocular interventions.
A graduate of Mzera residency is a complete doctor with 4 years of clinical experience ready to accept patients independently.
